Kraft soup containers are the go-to choice for soups, stews, curries, porridge and noodles to take away. This guide covers which size to choose, brown or white, which lid fits, and how to use them safely with hot food.

What are kraft soup containers?

Our soup containers are round pots made from sturdy kraft paperboard with a thin lining. They’re suitable for hot and cold food, hold their shape when filled, and are designed to resist leaks on the way to the customer. They come in two finishes: natural brown kraft for a wholesome, eco-minded look, and white for a clean, bright look that’s easy to label.

Which soup container size do I need?

Most cafés stock a 12oz regular and a 16oz large. Add 8oz if you sell kids’ portions or sides, and 26oz or 32oz for sharing or catering orders.

Which lid fits my soup container?

Lids are sold separately and come in three sizes, each in brown or white kraft to match your containers:

Because two of the lids cover two sizes each, you can run five container sizes with just three lid sizes.

Why vented lids matter for hot food

Every soup lid we sell has small steam vents. They let heat escape from hot soups, stews and curries, which helps stop the lid lifting and cuts down condensation in the delivery bag, so food arrives looking as it should.

Brown or white soup containers?

Both perform the same way, so it comes down to your brand. Brown kraft suits street food, health food and eco-focused menus. White looks crisp on a deli counter and takes printed labels and stamps well. Many businesses use one colour throughout so their takeaway packaging looks consistent.
